#1) I don't have the words to describe how proud I am of Reddington right now. He is ROCKing the potty training. I just can't believe it. I keep repeating that over & over. Last night was night #4 of zero accidents - - we just went for it! Since he was doing great during the day, I wasn't too surprised when the sitter, Stacey, mentioned she didn't put a diaper on him for naptime. She actually forgot & when she went to check on him at 3 p.m., he was dry. After a couple of days of that, I decided to try it last Friday night- no diaper at bedtime. He woke up twice hollering for us & we took him to the bathroom. Since then, he hasn't woke up & hasn't had any accidents. Completely dry for four nights in a row. I guess I just get so tired of people -in general- saying things that are not encouraging. For example: "Boys take longer than girls to do _______." or "Toddlers can't do ______ until ______." That kind of stuff. I'm sure you know what I mean by this. I want Reddington to be himself in life. I hope that he will take pride in who he is as an individual and not find fault in himself because he does or doesn't do/achieve something. As I told my bff, Joy, last Saturday: "Reddington may be potty-trained but not be able to say his ABC's perfectly & I am ok with that." I am going to strive to not get wrapped up in what everyone else's child is doing but focus on my boy & his goals and successes in life. He is an individual; he is exactly who God created him to be.

#2) I am loving the "Live Traffic Feed" on the right side of my blog. I cannot believe that people from literally all over the world read this bloggity blog of mine. Recently, I saw Papa, New Guinea listed as a location for a visitor. Unbelievable! I would truly love for you all to become "followers" if you aren't already. I love having you!
#3) My school district finally agreed on a Contract between the School Board & the Union. It isn't great- by any means- but I really didn't want to go on Strike. We agreed to: The District paying 92% of our Health Insurance (down from 97%) and a salary raise of about 2-2.5%. Most staff members will be *lucky if they break even from the past. We were not asking for a huge raise- our desire was to maintain our benefits- which we did not so we will see the same paycheck amount as last year or less. :(
#4) I will go ahead & admit that I am self-diagnosing myself as having a "Craft Obsession." I seriously can't help it. Re-Do/Make-Over/Create is just what I do. I explained it to a friend saying, "Everyone has their thing. This is mine!" The reason I decided I have this diagnosis is because I'm already thinking about Reddington's Birthday Party- in February- & started to create some party goodies. I know, I know. . . I can't help it. I admit it!
#5) I am so looking forward to a "low key" weekend coming up. Nathan is going to be pre-occupied so Reddington & I are doing our own thing. I see a little Hobby Lobby, Indoor Swimming, Organizing (Big Boy Room coming this winter!), & Relaxing in our future.
Ok, I think that's about it. I have plenty of posts coming your way. Have a great day!
