Friday (7.8.11)
We were looking forward all week to this day of the trip. It was the day that we had a reservation for a Rental Car at Hertz and had free run of the city of SF! Our main task was to experience the Redwood Trees at "Muir Woods" & did we ever.I recently asked Nathan about one of his highlights from the trip & he mentioned the Redwood Trees. It was truly breath-taking. We loved the sights & sounds of nature. Reddington probably said 10 times, "Mama, see the water!" He loved the creeks, rocks, trees, leaves, & just being outdoors, in general. He was out of his stroller most of the time just walking on the paths & looking at everything. He did great listening & staying out of the restricted areas. The weather was perfect (just like every other day) and we enjoyed the cool breeze during the visit. The drive up the hills & the scenery are difficult to describe- like nothing we've ever seen. The last photo posted is just a little glimpse into some of the scenery during our drive to the Redwoods.
