Are You New Around Here? [an attainable dream]

For those of you that might be new to We Have The Golden Ticket, I'm departing tomorrow to go to on a Mission Trip to Ethiopia.  This has been a "scary" dream of mine for years & it became a reality for me the past year & a half.  I've been fundraising for this trip, getting immunizations, & I've posted quite a few times about the upcoming journey.  I've never once traveled to the other side of the world & sure haven't left my babies for 11 days.  It's going to be an adventure & I'm ready to be "wrecked" for Jesus.
I'm traveling with my older sister, Tatum, & a group of others from the Decatur/Moweaqua, IL area.
We will be visiting two "Care Points" that are run by Children's HopeChest called, "Trees of Glory" & "Kind Hearts."  Both Care Points are located near the capital, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  Children travel by foot to their assigned Care Point one day a week to have their basic needs met, discipleship training, education, etc and they all have sponsors in the United States that make this possible.
I've sent multiple care packages to our sponsor child, Endalem, & I will be meeting him face to face on this trip.  I will give him a care package, along with a few extra goodies, & a Simply Love t-shirt. We've also been told that our sponsor child may have an immediate need that we can meet- such as a new school uniform, school supplies, etc so we will have the opportunity to purchase those items at the market & take them back to them.  We regularly talk about him & pray for him as a member of our family so I'm ready to embrace this boy... I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!

Here are specific prayer requests if you believe in the power of prayer & are interested in praying for us during this trip:
-Safety for the team: Amy, Becky, Jeremy, Mikaela, Tatum, Jeff, Nathan, Kelsey, Megan, Alicia, Brian, Allie, Bekah, Ryan, Judy, Kayleigh, & Travis
-Sharing Jesus to the children & workers at Trees of Glory & Kind Hearts Care-Points
in Duber, Ethiopia
-Our lives to be permanently "wrecked" & reprioritized for God's glory.

The blog will be a bit quiet during the trip.  It may take me some time to process everything & get my photos organized, but I promise to share about this journey when I return.
My fundraising total ended up being close to $4,000.00 which is amazing. Thank you for all of your support & your prayers. God has been so faithful!
