IT.IS. HERE... The month I travel to Ethiopia! I can hardly believe it's almost time. Yes, I've been fundraising & praying for this journey for about a year & a half & have plenty of blog posts to prove it.{grin} In about 8 days (1 week from Thursday) I depart on quite a journey, a life-changing one, I just know it! I am excited, nervous, a bit scared, & READY. Ready to experience AFRICA. I know that nothing in my life will compare & that I will return with such a thankful heart but also a longing to do for others by serving & loving them here & abroad. This is going to be quite a monumental summer for me & for our family as a whole with Milannah's Adoption drawing near. Her paperwork is currently in the hands of the State of Illinois. Once they give their stamp of approval we should be assigned a Court Date to make her ours officially. We are thinking that will be in next month- Wow, that seems unreal that it's getting so close. I cannot wait to share my blondie with the world & be able to reveal her face. She is such a little doll!
I have a handful of photos from Mother's Day to share. It was a gorgeous day but I couldn't help but feel like it was "just another day" doing my Mommy duties. That is fine- - I just think that I have expectations that it's going to be this bliss-filled day with no poopy diapers or crying fits & I will be waited on hand & foot. That was just not the case- Ha! Regardless, I'm such a blessed Mom with not 1, but 2 little loves to fill my heart to overflowing. And I will be meeting my 3rd-- Endalem-- in just over a week. Bring it on, Africa, I'm ready!
