Our FINAL DAY had arrived. What a whirlwind of a trip! We got up & ready for church. We went to a wonderful church where everything was in English. It was PACKED. It was a wonderful service & I had a hard time focusing because I just wanted to take in everything for that moment. The church was called "International Evangelical Church." After church we went to Lunch at a very fancy restaurant that overlooked the city. We then had our one & only shopping trip for the week, dinner at Island Breeze, & then check-in at the Airport. Our flight wasn't until 10:15 p.m. We would be up 36+ hours by the time we arrived at home.
We ended the day VERY emotional. It was pouring rain & our luggage was on top of the vehicles at the airport. Our Children's HopeChest workers kept waiting for it to stop raining to unload & get inside but we were stressed waiting. It was hot on the vehicles & we were worried about getting everyone checked in, through security, etc. It was eventful but we MADE it & were so happy that it was flawless. Some of the team was in line for a couple of hours! We were all balling as we said good-bye to Fikre, Helina, & Misikir in the rain. They are like family to us at this point!
