Labor Day: Pere Marquette State Park TRADITION

It's been a tradition for quite a few years now for Nathan's mom's family {The Bettis'} to travel together to Pere Marquette State Park.  In the early years we attended with no children & it's been fun to see everyone's family's grow over the years- including ours!  I took very few pictures but I sure tried.  Milannah can be a tough cookie when it comes to posed pictures.
We met Travis, Stephanie, Ava, & Dean at the brand new FIVE GUYS in Springfield & then followed each other the rest of the way.  It was super HOT this year so it wasn't as enjoyable as we would've liked for it to be.  We did end the trip with a dip at Raging Rivers Water Park which was a perfect end to the holiday weekend!

Because sometimes... eating peanuts & being a Big Brother is even better than being a Super Hero! :-)

Our family is considering taking a break next year from Pere Marquette.  We're thinking that we could enjoy the last couple of days of our Swim Membership & the kids could participate in the annual "Race for the Cheese" at the Arthur Cheese Festival.  We shall see!
