Fostering Love: Testimony

In our desire to foster love into our Baby Girl, I have a couple of stories to share with you that have happened since we received the pink into our family on Jan. 11th. . .
I am now what you would call "friends" with a group of students that I taught my first year at my current school district.  They have since graduated & have blossomed into gorgeous girls that continue to show an interest in a relationship with me. They have babysat for Reddington, come over for movies, met me for dinner, that kind of thing.  Since they are all in college, I wasn't sure what our friendship would look like- I just knew it would be different. Why they have any interest in my family or me I have no clue! I do love them to pieces & enjoy our time together even if it is rare. Recently, they wanted to come over to meet Little Sis & see Big Bro. They brought unnecessary gifts that were adorable & very much appreciated. We talked a lot about all of the blessings our family has received recently (-New Addition to our family -Outpouring of love from friends & family -Clothing Donations for Baby -Every single detail falling into place (Evidence here & here) & how I don't feel that I have enough room to take in anymore blessings from the Lord.
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, "says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven & pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it." -Malachi 3:10 (NIV)
Upon leaving, one of the girls handed me a card with a monetary donation. I was shocked, to say the least. What a selfless act for an 18 year old girl!
The card read:
"...at last the ladder which had been built slowly slowly one hope at a time, reached up to the clouds...And the dreamer began to climb." Congratulations & Good Luck!

...Your love for God and your family is something that I want one day.  God has blessed me with putting you in my life.  I wish you can use this money towards whatever good works He is calling you to; whether it is for your mission trip to Ethiopia or for Baby Girl/Reddington.  What you're doing is making a huge difference in this world! I am so proud of you!
"...they raised their voices & praised the Lord with these words 'He is good! His faithful love endures forever!'" -2 Chronicles 5:13
YES, I was balling my eyes out & couldn't read it to Nathan. I made him read it. We were in disbelief. I just cannot believe how God has shown off in our lives the past couple of weeks. We give Him every single bit of credit.
That being said, I am now 1/3 of the way towards my goal for the mission trip. Thank you, Lord! Please pray that the Lord will bless my recent givers (by last name):

Another family friend wrote this:
"I think what you & Nathan are doing is wonderful.  Your family is an inspiration to me.  I've never been a real religious person though I do believe in God.  All of you make me want to know Him better."
GASP! I have not called her, yet, since receiving the note but I do plan to. Hopefully today. I guess I am a little bit nervous because I don't know of the exact words to say.  I know I want to thank her for the note & find out how I can help her know more about Jesus.  Please pray that God will give me the words to say.  Pray that the words will flow, that her heart will be open, & that I have the resources that she needs to know the Savior on a more personal level.  I am in awe at the windows & doors that the Lord has opened for us to share His love.  I firmly believe that Foster Care can be a beautiful thing. My heart is full.

I promise to be back with more pictures SOON! Just know that any pics of Baby Girl cannot reveal her face due to confidentiality.  So, every photo has to be edited if her face can be recognized.
