With some urging from my friend, Kristin, I decided to tackle a Valentine shelf/mantle this year! At Valentine's last year, she gave me this adorable vintage-styled card pictured below. Without spending a single penny, I dug through home decor that I had & created this Valentine's display. I'm very happy with how it turned out! Last year after Valentine's Day, I got suckered into buying a bunch of the discounted decor at Wal-mart. I'm glad I did because I had these white & red paper doilies to decorate with this year.
I will use the rest of the fun goods to surprise my sweetie! His gift this year is a dozen decorative cupcakes from the famous GEORGETOWN CUPCAKES home of DC CUPCAKES on TLC. My bloggy friend told me about her & her hubby's addiction to this sweet treat & helped me sign up to receive the coupon codes! (Originally $49 minus coupon = $29.40) Gasp!
