We sure enjoy doing activities more regularly in the summer. During the school year we typically stay close to home in the evenings but in the summer there are no rules! Here's a photo from a few different events this summer. HoltFam4 LOVES summertime!
For a couple of years I had wanted to enjoy an Amish-style Family Dinner in Arthur, IL. Rueben's wife, Ruth, does these for anyone that's interested & simply requests a donation. This is a photo of us before we left. There were 16 of us. It was our first "Adult Only" night since our Anniversary Dinner in Orlando. We had a great time & enjoyed seeing the Amish home, animals, miniature horse, horse & buggies, etc. It was a really neat experience.
Because of the "Kids Bowl Free" program, a group of us took our kids bowling one Thursday morning & to Lunch at Wendy's. The kids loved it!

I took Reddington on a Mommy/Son Date to get Hawaiian Shaved Ice. It was so good & reminded me of my high school days when we would gather there for something to do on a summer night.
Of course, we're loving some pool time. Not near as much as we'd like with a 6 month old but we get there as often as we can. Reddington picked "Rainbow" & I had "Tiger's Blood." We both preferred the Tiger's Blood!
With all of the preschool talk, Reddington has been really into reading books lately. Typically, he will do so until he falls asleep!
