Christmas Eve: Santa Came Early!

(Final Christmas Post 1 of 2.)  We all had a blast this year as Reddington thoroughly enjoyed opening his gifts & got really excited.  There's nothing like seeing JOY on your child's face! Our tradition since 2009 has been to open gifts as a family of 3 on Christmas Eve before church at 7 p.m.  I really love how this has worked for our family.  My parents also come over to eat dinner (Broccoli-Cheese Soup, Rolls, Dessert) & take pictures of our family.  They are a HUGE help with this.  "Santa" came while Reddington was napping- perfect timing! My mom helped dress him & get him ready while Nathan, Dad, & I waited on him to see his first expressions.  He LOVED his Jeep.  He kept pointing at it.  You can tell from his face that he was in love.  Our tradition is "Santa Sacks" instead of stockings.  Basically, whatever is in the sack is from "Santa."  Perfect! That means that that Reddington will know that Nathan & I got him the large gifts & "Santa" will just bring what fits in the sack. Reddington had 3 gifts from us- - -Jeep, working Vacuum cleaner, & a small Jeep that pulled a trailer & motorcycle.  He was thrilled!

Laundry: Drop Your Pants Here! :)

Bundled up for Christmas Eve service- - -still wanting to drive his Jeep!

I love that we can 'change' the time that "Santa" comes depending on our family.  Reddington will group up knowing that "Santa" comes on Christmas Eve.  The exact time is TBA based on our plans for the day.  At this age, nap time is a perfect time for "Santa" to drop by! Part 2 of 2 coming SOON!
