It is with excitement that I inform my blog readers that Nathan received a phone call about 1 p.m. yesterday from CAT---he was offered a position &
will no longer be laid off as of April 26th! I have mixed emotions about this since Nathan was attending Richland Community College full-time pursuing an Associate's Degree. He has been doing GREAT & a grant for laid off factory workers was covering all of the expenses! SO, we are excited that he has been called back, it's just kind of "bittersweet." Nathan seems excited so I am happy for him! The week of April 26th he will be training on "day shift." Starting on May 3rd he will be on 2nd shift (3p.m.-11p.m.). I am thankful that I am a teacher & have a consistent schedule with a lot of time off so that we can be together. During the school year we will only see each other for about a half hour each morning of the work week. Nathan wakes up Reddington each day, changes him, feeds him breakfast, & plays with him until I'm ready to go. Nathan says it is the "highlight of his day!" This will continue when he returns to CAT. In the evenings, I will be 100% responsible for Reddington which will take some getting used to!
Of course, during the summer we can be with him until he reports to work at 3 p.m. So, it will take a little getting used to as a "single mom" but I definitely know that God knows exactly what He is doing & I refuse to question that. God is good...all the time!
"In all things, God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." ~Romans 8:28 (NIV)
