You're the Inspiration...

Nathan & I had discussed light-heartedly the idea of Foster Care/Adoption the past year or two. We especially talked about it during our 15 months of Inferitily & said to each other, "We will have children one way or another!" The topic was laid to rest the entire pregnancy & for months after Reddington's arrival. We then discussed it, again, as a possibilty for us & a way that we could 'do our part' to make the world a better place. The movie, "The Blind Side," was what set our hearts & minds in motion & gave us the inspiration we needed to make the phone call. We are excited to announce that we have started the process to become Licensed Foster Care Parents! We have specified that we would like a school-age child between the ages of 5-10, Boy or Girl, & any Race or Ethnicity. Here are the steps in the process that we have learned about so far: 1) Home Visit 2) Register for Parenting Classes [Held every Tues 6-9 & Sat 9-12 for 5 weeks = 27 Hours] 3) Each member of the family must have a physical & tb test 4) Adults must be fingerprinted 5) Background Check We invite you to go on this journey with us...
