Three months of Reddington bliss...

February 5, 2009. Seems like yesterday. Seems like forever ago. It's been three months since Reddington first rocked our world. I won't say it's all been easy, but these have been the best three months of my life. I feel like the most blessed woman in the universe. I have loved watching the video from Reddington's day of birth. It begins with Nathan beaming as he walks through the nursery at Decatur Memorial holding a baby. A 7lb 13 ounce, 21.5 inch long baby. That's all our families know as they shout through the glass, "What is it?" Tatum is the first one to say, "It looks like a boy!" (Good thing you were, huh, Reddington?!) Nathan arranges the baby so that he can reach into his jean pocket and pull out the "correct" piece of paper...In my handwriting the green piece of paper states: IT'S A BOY! REDDINGTON FORREST HOLT & the camera is quickly fixed on my dad, Reddington's namesake, who has tears streaming down his cheeks as he looks at this precious baby & Nathan's beaming smile. That's it--- the moment our lives changed forever. The moment we started our life's goal to Leave A Legacy. We just didn't know until February 5, 2009 that we would be Leaving A Legacy through our son. Visitors~ they came from near & far to meet Reddington. Other than immediate family, these people blessed our little guy immediately after his birth: Grandma Bettis, Brandon/Denise/Cruz, Nathan's "car friend" Jim & family, Scott/Sarah, Sage, Tara, Heather V, Debby I, Aunt Sheri/Uncle Brett, Aunt Dianne/Uncle John/Bridgett, Amy R, Pastors Doug/Rosemary, Brad/Joy, Kelly, Caleb/Christina, Uncle Roy, Pastor Ron, Eric/Julia, Debbie/Lindsay Cole, Grandma/Grandpa Holt, Stephanie/Trav, Uncle Dennis/Aunt Lori, Meals 4 Mommies, Julie, Kay & that was just in Reddington's first week of life...Thank You for your immediate love for Reddington. (I hope I didn't leave anyone out...it has been 3 Months, please forgive me!) Reddington...
*Is getting so big at over 12 lb & counting! I have been slightly anxious for this day, knowing that Reddington would be transitioning from his Newborn/0-3 Month clothing to his Spring/Summer 3-6 Month outfits. THIS IS THE DAY~ I have looked at all of these adorable outfits for the past couple of months anxious to see my little guy in them. The time has come! Reddington has received absolutely precious outfits from friends & family. This summer is going to be so fun...my mom has already said, "Let the fashion show begin!"
*Has parents that want more for him in life than they've ever wanted for themselves
*Is 50% Daddy, 50% Mama... He seems to have his Dad's figure with a long torso & shorter legs. He also has the prettiest eyelashes just like his Dad that strangers even comment on (Mama is jealous!). He has been told that he has his Mama's eyes & cheeks. So far, his hair has a bit of a curl to it.
*Has recently given up his once-in-awhile use of a paci for his hands & I'm ok with it (see pic below)
*Loves to smile and talk/"coo" as of the last couple of weeks. Nathan & I agree this month has been our favorite, thus far!
*Has a cry only his Mama adores. Not that he cries much.
*Enjoys bathtime...He is still sleeping through the night almost always & rarely gets upset when bedtime arrives.
*Is just OK with tummy time
*Usually falls asleep in the car
*Hasn't had a single diaper rash~ Thank You, Jesus!
*Is very content
*Makes eyes at Mama
*Has a routine like "clock work" from 5 p.m. until 7:30 a.m. Daytime is up for grabs as he & Daddy can do whatever their hearts' desire!
*Smiles bigger than any other time when Daddy is around. They are best buds. Mama loves this
*Has parents who love him madly
