DIY: Roll With It... What Piano?

I have always viewed my kitchen as a place that's for pretties & not just eating.  I enjoy decorating it since our house isn't that big & I want to let my creative juices flow in every area of our home.  Recently I finally tried this method that I discovered on Life as a Thrifter for an inexpensive DIY method for hanging plates on the wall & it worked! At least... so far, so good... no shattered plates at this point.  My mom graciously used her Cricuit to cut out the letters for me & she also found the plates at a Rummage Sale.

-Use a large amount of hot glue on the back of the plate
-Attach the paperclip
-Cover with felt
-Hang w/ hammer & nail

My next "hurdle" in this corner is an eyesore to me... the piano.  My hubby said "yes" when his mom asked him if he wanted it for our home and yes, it is a touch-y subject for us :-) There weren't a lot of options as to where it could be placed. I FINALLY framed a picture of my boy that we had for almost 2 years for above the piano.  The photographer had the photo blown up to display in a restaurant & I had never found the perfect spot... until now! I love it's new home & I love seeing such a huge picture of my favorite boy!
