Dear Reddington,
Today marks the final day of summer with the start of the school year being tomorrow...you are my favorite "summer school" student! This has been the greatest summer of my life. You have shed a whole new light on summer vacation. From now on, my "summer" will never be the same. Thank you for creating so many memories with me, your Mama. We had so much fun doing life together: most trips & activities with Daddy, some playdates with friends, while errands & playtime were often just you & me...I wouldn't have it any other way. I love how we make the most out of summer & do not take our time together for granted as we know summer comes to an end with the start of each school year.

Summer vacation was at a perfect time in your little life 3-6 months old- oh, how you've changed! Our Blog has been a fabulous tool to document all of these milestones. Just yesterday you started playtime in the Exersaucer we borrowed from Carter Jackson. You love it & don't know what to play with since there are so many options. We knew it would be an activity you would enjoy immediately. You are very inquisitive. You rarely lay your head on my shoulder unless you are tired--you'd rather look around! Active is a word to describe you! Even while taking a bottle you constantly look around, kick, play with my face, or pull my hair... & I love it. I know you will soon be moving on to explore other things so I'm ok with you poking my face---for now! I even love when you open your mouth as if you're trying to give me a kiss & you end up with drool all over my face...your love is unmatched. Your cheeks are so "kissable!" When you "talk/babble" I love to listen! You have tried eating cereal, flavored puffs, carrots & green beans--the looks you give are PRICELESS! You are loving veggies, thus far. We'll see how you feel about squash, next! :) I completely thrive on trying new things with you & helping you to become all that God wants you to be. I'm excited to see the difference that you make in the world as you've already changed your Mama & Daddy into better people that're not as selfish & are completely devoted to you.

I know that I am a better mom because I work. I constantly smile on & off all day knowing that you await me at the end of the work day! I can't wait to get my hands on you & enjoy our time together. Your new babysitter, Stacey, was my top choice for this year. I prayed constantly as the school year was winding down that the "perfect babysitter for Reddington" would fall into place for the Fall. The end of June I received a phone call from Stacey in Sullivan saying "I would like to watch Reddington this year!" I was ECSTATIC to say the least. All of my co-workers that take their most precious cargo to Stacey can't say enough great things---story time at the library, the pumpkin patch, & playing at the park, are just some of the activities Stacey has planned. Enjoy your playtime with Madelyn, Mason, Meriem, & Tessa (sp?) so that you're ready for Mama at the end of the school day. I will be thinking of you non-stop with plenty of stored up hugs & kisses by the time I reach you... You are perfect in every way. I love you endlessly! XOXO ~Mama
